Concentrate On The Journey Ahead

Focusing on the many opportunities life holds keeps you moving forward, happily and productively. The future holds the piece of history we are still writing.

Today, we have all the power in the world to change tomorrow. All of your life experiences and perspectives over the years have prepared you for this moment to embark on your journey toward the future.

“Let us not look backward in anger, nor forward in fear, but around in awareness.” – James Thurber

Our past like the ex we just can’t let go of – sweet smells, familiar, comfortable.

For some situations, we may find, as time goes on, we tend to idealize the positive and forget all the negative drama happening at the time.

Particularly, in relationships, there can be many loose ends we can’t quite wrap our minds around, making it difficult to forge ahead into new romantic endeavors.

In other cases, we may be unwilling to stop playing a reel of anger and resentment regarding someone from our past to prevent “losing” them or facing the underlying hurt.

We all have nostalgic moments to reminisce, but make sure you’re not stuck facing backward. If you are habitually longing for the past, you should:

  • Forgive yourself for past mistakes and work through the guilt. Accept it as part of your journey.
  • Forgive others. If you can’t, fake it until you make it. Time will heal your wounds.
  • Realize you are not your thoughts. Slow your racing mind and connect with an ocean of calm.
  • Look at the choices before you, replacing “I should have” with I will.
  • Give yourself some time to grieve, but set some goals for what you will do when this phase ends.

Future possibilities are brimming with excitement

Picture a blank piece of paper before you. Imagine you’re sitting in your car, about to start driving, with no idea where you’re going and no map to get you there.

Is “fear” the first thought that comes to mind? That is a natural reaction… until you understand that uncertainty is your greatest asset.

There are infinite paths ahead of you, so many rewards to grab hold of, untold riches coming your way.

Challenge your assumptions about your limitations – what can or can’t be achieved.

Challenge your ideas about how the world should work and see the world as it actually is. Let go of that “something” that is holding you back.

Instead of thinking of all you don’t want, think of what you do want. Whittle down the overwhelming number of choices to pick a path that suits your talents, interests, and desires.

Make your decision and walk out into the world with your eyes wide open.

Take note of the beauty in where you are at this point in your journey. You are learning, experiencing, adapting, and growing.

Anticipation is rewarding in its own regard

You don’t need to take a vacation to enjoy the rewards of one. Vacationers feel happiest while planning their trips and daydreaming about all they’ll do, according to a 2010 study of more than 1,500 people published in the journal of Applied Research in Quality of Life.

Similarly, a 2007 study by Leaf Van Boven and Laurence Ashworth published in the journal of Experimental Psychology found that students felt happier anticipating their vacation than they felt later reminiscing about the trip.

So immerse yourself in a daydream by reading, watching films, and talking to others about future plans, whether it’s about a vacation, a future career endeavor, a date, a new baby, an impending move, or whatever the case may be.

Keep your mind on the prize of possibilities in life, on dreams of greatness.

Accept the current set of circumstances as they are and set new initiatives, so you can forge ahead with confidence to meet whatever the future holds.

Empowering questions:

  1. What are the methods that I can employ to help me in letting go of my past experiences?
  2. How can my day be improved with daily planning?
  3. How prepared I am to face any circumstances that come in my way?

Finally, don’t underestimate the value of a Coach. If you are grappling with your established business and laboring with lackluster sales, perhaps you should consider working with a Professional Business Growth Coach.

This partnership will empower your professional growth, those of your team, while positively impacting your revenues by 20% or more.

Consider Opposing Viewpoints

Life is beautiful in all the ways one can live or perceive it. Grasp each opportunity for understanding from the viewpoint of others. Open yourself to learning new ideas and living a more creative life. Enrich yourself with friends from diverse backgrounds. Choose to interact with them closely, reveling in the ways they challenge your traditional thought processes. Focus on listening to their views, rather than merely waiting to express your own. Find motivation in reaching new conclusions by giving their perceptions some thought.

“When you judge others, you do not define them; you define yourself.”

– Earl Nightingale

What type of person do you want to be – the one alone, gossiping in the corner… or the one who builds bridges between people, embodying kindness, fairness, and inclusiveness? Before you speak out against another, put yourself in that person’s shoes to imagine how you would react if someone said that same comment about you. How would you feel to know your words have made another person sob, flush with embarrassment, or feel less of him or herself? Ask God to help in giving you pause before you speak, and compassion rather than criticism.

“Judge tenderly, if you must. There is usually a side you have not heard, a story you know nothing about, and a battle waged that you are not having to fight.”

– Traci Lea LaRussa

Strive to become less judgmental. There are hidden stories behind everyone’s words and actions. You are unqualified in drawing conclusions about the choices another person makes. Exposing yourself to diverse cultural backgrounds will help you appreciate diversity, as well as remain sensitive to others.

Enjoy the winding path of learning more than the short-term gratification of being right.

It may come natural for you to interrupt and argue, especially if you are focused on gamesmanship and instant gratification. Yet, you are only artificially inflating yourself with stolen energy from those who are humbled into silence by your aggression. Instead, quietly consider the viewpoints of others. Ask questions to learn more as this help you identify with others. Seek out new experiences and alternate views to focus on the process of learning, which will bring you greater rewards in the long run.

Empowering Questions:

  1. How can I motivate my peers to feel at ease while relating to me?
  2. How can I show people that I am open to their viewpoints?
  3. What behavior of mine turns others away?

Good Health Is The Best Ingredient For Success

Health encompasses mental, physical and spiritual aspects. For your life to be ideal, you need a good measure of health in every aspect. A healthy condition can be acquired by striking a balance between exercise, rest, a proper diet, and meditation. This gives you a better chance at tackling challenges in life.

“Most People Have no idea how good their body is designed to feel.” – Kevin Trudeau

Both physical and mental health allow you to survive intense competition and stay on course. If you are healthy, there is no reason to stop pursuing your goals and dreams. Try to pack in as much activity while you are relatively young and healthy.

Mental strength tests your resolve to stay the course.

Positive affirmations are the best technique to improve your mental health. At the start of each day, look yourself in the mirror and assure yourself: I am strong. I am capable. I can tackle any difficulty life throws my way. Make it a point to spend 5-10 minutes each morning reciting a few affirmations that you can come back to throughout the day when the going gets tough. Eventually, thoughts become reality, so choose your thoughts carefully, and make them positive.

“Health is the first and greatest of all blessings.” – Lord Chesterfield

Good health by itself is a great blessing in life. If you are fortunate enough to feel well most days, you should not take this wonderful achievement for granted. Some days you may need to stop what you are doing and remember: I woke up. I am healthy. It has been a blessed day. If there was nothing else good that happened today, at least take a moment to be gracious for your good health.

Empowering questions:

  1. How to exercise better health at work and at home?
  2. What are some of my daily activities that can negatively affect my health?
  3. How do I determine the breaking point of my mind and body?

Dreams Turn To Major Triumphs When Purposeful Goals Are Set

Your subconscious mind can be a powerful source of inspiration when you give yourself over to your dreams. Sleep can be productive, as it allows you to see yourself in new situations. You may find the big picture comes into a clearer focus as your dreaming mind brings forth a set of priorities that will unlock greater fulfillment in your life.

Always Keep Your mind on the prize.

Spend some time pondering a particularly memorable dream to see if there are clues to your deeper feelings and motivations. Build a bridge to achievement by backing your dreams with SMART goals. Set daily goals that are Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic and Time-based to move toward attaining your ultimate goal.

Celebrate the Dream and the dreamer.

Enjoy renewed excitement each day whenever you look at your goals toward success. Draw encouragement from your goals, dreams and ambitions. Revel in the wellspring of creativity present in your inner space, as you consider your dreams and goals. Your mind is always sorting life out, even as you are at rest. The answers you need will reveal themselves at the right time.

Move Confidently In the Direction of Your Dreams.

Try this positive affirmation: Today, I draw motivation when I envision beautiful things that are happening in my life. I am content with dreaming because I know I have the potential to achieve my goals.

 Empowering questions:

  1. How to know if the dreams I have are too lofty or attainable?
  2. How can I handle the dreams that are intimidating?
  3. Am I realistic about my goals?

Clashing Opinions Balance Each Other Like Harmonious Melodies

Different outlooks meld together to bolster your perspective in the same way different melodies unite to form a song. Conflict inevitably arises when working as part of a team. It helps to remind yourself that variety and quality go hand-in-hand when it comes to music – and also in business.

There are no facts – Only Interpretations. – Friedrich Nietzsche

The desired outcome can only be reached after sharing views and discussing differences. Combining wisdom from different people creates powerful coalitions. In working with our allies, we evolve our own perspectives to a higher level. It is better to live in conformity with one another than to live apart, alone in our thoughts and deeds.

Commitment Trumps Compliance.

The most influential people in the world rely on genuine buy-in and commitment, versus short-term persuasion. Strive to show others you really “get” their reality – their strengths, weaknesses, ambitions, priorities, needs, limitations and concerns — by paraphrasing what you hear from them. Hash out options, possibilities and alternatives that will help others in your party grow and evolve to the best versions of themselves.

Togetherness Requires Consideration and Sometimes Compromise.

Planning a vacation with all family members may seem like chaos at the time, but eventually you’ll have arranged the kind of fun every family member wants to have. It may have been easier to autonomously dictate the itinerary from the top-down, but if you are open to input from the group at large, you’ll find you end up with a more memorable and joyous trip for everyone.

Empowering Questions:

  1. Which approach enables the greatest amount of feedback from others?
  2. Is it possible to get agreeable results even when you have contrasting views?
  3. What method harnesses the advantage of teamwork?

Top 5 Reasons For Having Lack Luster Ambition

You’ve heard the excuses before!  I’m waiting for my ship to come in, I’m waiting for my kids to get older, I’m waiting for approval.. etc. What are you waiting for? You have plans and aspirations that you’ve been putting off in many cases for decades.

We’re great at putting things off and convincing ourselves that we’ll get them done someday. Well, last time I checked “someday” was not a day of the week! Eventually, we all run out of somedays and our options become fewer and less likely to materialize. If you’re not enthusiastically pursuing your dreams, believe it or not, there’s a reason. And it might not be the reason you think. Let’s take a look behind the curtain.

Most excuses are actually a form of fear camouflaged as another challenge.

Identify what’s holding you back and take action today:

1. A perceived lack of resources. Perhaps you need additional knowledge, education, money, or time. These are the most common reasons for not taking action. While the reasons may be accurate. You might not have enough time. However, it’s up to you to make the time. It’s up to you to find the money you need.

• A lack of resources can’t stop you if you’re determined. Using the lack of resources as an excuse suggests another underlying issue.

• Find a way around your lack of resources. There’s a solution available to you right now if you want to find it and if you want accomplish your dream bad enough.

2. Your belief that you’ll fail. Maybe you’re not afraid of failing, but you anticipate failure. No one would waste their time taking action if they expected a negative outcome. Use every tool at your disposal to change your belief. Try using logic or convince yourself that you’ll give it a try anyway. Meditation, self-hypnosis, and visualization are other possible options. Remember, what ever you think about you bring about!

• Get expert advice or consider changing your objective to one that’s more believable.

3. Fear. The is the most accurate answer most of the time. Doing something significant involves change, both the change that results from success and the chance necessary to create success.

• If your dream is to launch a new business, perhaps preparing a business plan that outlines a clear vision of your start-up, along with a SWOT (strength, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis to help you overcome potential obstacles on your new Journey. The most effective way to combat fear is to jump in with both feet. The apprehension that results from thinking about taking the first step is more severe than the apprehension that accompanies real action. Once you get started, the fear subsides considerably.

• Fear has been around since the beginning of man. It’s not going away, so it’s important to build your ability and mental fortitude to manage it.

4. A lack of motivation. Why aren’t you motivated? Is it due to fear or something else? A little success can create motivation. Starting a diet can be challenging, but your motivation grows after you’ve successfully lost 10 pounds.

• The solution to a lack of motivation is the same as the solution to fear: take the leap. Get started and hang in there until you’ve experienced some success. At that point, you’ll find that your lack of motivation is no longer an issue. Remember, yo don’t have to be great to get started, but you do have to get started to be great!

5. The need for perfection. This could be the need to have ideal conditions before getting started or the need to accomplish your goal without experiencing any failure along the way. Perfectionism is just another manifestation of fear masquerading as a socially acceptable excuse.

• There is no failure, provided you don’t give up. Expect that things won’t work out 100% according to plan. Accept this fact and move ahead.

• Take action. Taking action is the best way to reduce your fear. You don’t need to be perfect. You only need to be “good enough.”

If you’ve been finding reasons to put off your plans to some unidentified point in the future, it’s time to examine the reasons. Fear is the biggest reason for chronic procrastination. It’s your responsibility to determine why you’ve been waiting. By finding an explanation, you can begin to take motivated action and see your dreams come true. Additionally, you can always connect with a life coach to help you to become the best version of yourself.

Challenges Inspire Determination

Challenges are part of life. They are what makes the sun so much brighter and love so intense. With the changing times and economy, being in crisis seems the norm. We have to struggle against the current not to lose our path. Spend some time brainstorming new ways to increase your earning potential, which will fill you with possibilities and renewed zest for life.

Truly, No Life Is Perfect.

Sometimes we think of celebrities as having easy lives with so much adoration, creativity, money and beauty surrounding them. But in a recent interview, Lady Gaga reminds us that no life is without challenge. She said: “I miss people. I miss… going anywhere and meeting a random person and saying, ‘Hi,’ and having a conversation about life. I love people. I’m very acutely aware that once I cross that property line, I’m not free anymore. As soon as I go out in the world, I belong, in a way, to everyone else.” She adds: “I said to myself, ‘Well, if I can’t be free out there, I’ll be free in here,’” pointing to her heart.

Bring Your Unique Set of Skills To Meet The Challenge.

What skills can you use to craftily maintain relationships, even during the tough times? Our family members and loved ones deserve our attention. Even when we feel burdened or overwhelmed, we have something to offer others.

A Mature Outlook Toward Life Makes Challenges Easier.

During conflict, focus on the positive process of engagement and collaboration toward common goals. Set aside your pride, so you don’t become unfair to anyone. Avoid accusations, name-calling and statements that begin with “you always” or “you never.” When the other person crosses a line, make it easy for the other person to back down with grace. Look beyond the surface-level issue to what a person is really needing and what deeper conflicts exist.

Choose To stand strong — Even when all the odds are Stacked against You.

Meeting work deadlines and the expectations of others can be tough. But do not let the challenge deter you from working as hard as you can and finding pride in the process of moving, with purpose, toward your goals. It takes a lot of bravery to accept the challenges in life and cross the rough patches. Give yourself credit for working your way through whatever is on your plate.

Empowering Questions

  1. If I cannot find a way to face a challenge, how can I persuade myself?
  2. How can I gather the power to face a terrifying situation?
  3. How can I handle the difficulties in life by building perseverance?

Get The Life You’ve Imagined… Through Women’s Empowerment

“A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture, and transform.”    –              Diane Mariechild-

What Is Women’s Empowerment?

You can think of women’s empowerment as a way of breaking through limitation. Historically, women as a group have broken past barriers to education, voting, land owning, and employment. Yet, on a more personal, individual level, women are empowering themselves every day to be something more than what they were yesterday. Empowerment is more than just self esteem: it’s harnessing the transformative powers within to enact real change – which can be emotional, physical, or spiritual in nature. When you are empowered, your outlook is more positive and the world is your oyster.

What Are The Benefits of Women’s Empowerment?

  • Greater equality
  • More individual happiness
  • Improved productivity
  • Higher earnings
  • Better sex
  • Emotional maturity
  • Generations of prosperity
  • Sense of peace

How Does A Woman Develop A Sense of Empowerment?

There are many ways for a woman to develop a sense of empowerment over time. Some women read books, take retreats, learn meditation, and attempt to guide themselves. However, you can more quickly and easily facilitate this transition by working with a certified life coach as I have! A life coach can show you practical ways to become more resilient and motivated to accomplish anything and everything you desire… and, you deserve all of it!
